From Rice to DICE: Paul Heidhues joins DICE as of October 2016

DICE welcomes Paul Heidhues (currently ESMT Berlin) as of October 2016 to hold one of the two newly funded endowed chairs at DICE.

Paul is a widely known behavioral economics theorist, his research focus is on how boundedly rational economic behavior affects competition in markets. Paul received his PhD from Rice University (Texas) and his habilitation form Humboldt University of Berlin. The German-American economist is professor of economics at ESMT since 2010 and was a professor of economic theory at the University of Bonn before. Paul#s research areas are competition economics, behavioural economics and (applied) game theory. Moreover, Paul is an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Theory.
