Courses BW37/MW86/MQV10 in the summer term 2023

Here you can find information about the elective module "Economics Seminar", BW37 in the Bachelor and MW86 in the Master. To pass the module, it is necessary to attend a total of two seminars. However, this can be done in different semesters. In the courses you will be asked to prepare a written paper and present it in a colloquium.

Registration for the individual seminars takes place via the HIS-LSF. The admission and scheduling of the individual seminars is done by the lecturers themselves and can therefore sometimes only be determined during the semester. If you have any questions regarding the planning and organization of a seminar, please contact the lecturers directly.

If you are taking the second seminar of the module, it is important that you register for examination for the module via the student portal during the registration period. Your grade can only be entered if you have registered for the examination performance. If you are only taking the first seminar, this is not necessary.

After completion of both seminars and upon successful registration in the student portal, your two grades will be added together and an average will be calculated. The overall grade will be communicated to the examination office by the responsible staff and not by the lecturers of the individual seminars. Please note that the grades will only be entered at the end of the semester, i.e. as soon as the grades from all seminars of the semester are available.

Note to students of the Economics Master degree: For MQV10 “Economics Seminar 2“, you can choose from all MW86 seminars. If they are in German, you can still participate by doing the examination (presentation, paper) in English.

Please contact  in case you have any questions regarding the course.

An introductory session will be held on:

Wednesday, den 05.04.2023 at 14:30 in room: 24.21 - 2421.01.85.

Please register in HIS-LSF for the introductory session (even if it has already taken place or you are taking your second seminar) so that we have a complete email list of all participants and you do not miss any information.
