Wolfgang-Wetzel-Preis for Jannis Kück

The German Statistical Society (DStatG) has awarded Prof. Dr. Jannis Kück the Wolfgang Wetzel Prize 2023. Prof. Dr. Jannis Kück convinced the jury with his commitment to statistical research and his research contributions Estimation and inference of treatment effects with L2-boosting in high-dimensional settings (Journal of Econometrics) and Uniform inference in high-dimensional Gaussian graphical models (Biometrika).

The Wolfgang Wetzel Prize is aimed at young researchers who have been working for a maximum of five years after their doctorate and promotes young researchers in statistics. Outstanding contributions to statistical methodology and its practical application are awarded.
