DICE Lab

Welcome to DICELab! DICELab is a research unit at the Duesseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) which conducts experiments in the disciplines of economics and social sciences. In that, economic theory and knowledge from psychology is combined to answer relevant experimental questions. Our experiments rely on the framework where paid participants interact and take decisions in a controlled environment. The goal of the experiments is to understand human decision-making behavior in an economic context. Our participants receive a basic remuneration and are additionally paid depending on their decisions.

Lab

The Laboratory has 36 cubicles with PCs for economic experiments. Thanks to the dividers, the participants can make their decision without any disturbance. For running the experiments, we mainly use standard software for economic experiments: zTree and oTree.

The DICE Lab for Experimental Economics is located on the campus of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf.
